Thief stole jewellery and then returned it with a letter

A thief, gave back stolen gold ornaments to its owner with a apology letter. The episode occurred inside Ambalapuzha police stations limits. It started on Tuesday. Ambalappuzha circle inspector Biju V Nair said Madhu Kumar of Karumady had run with his family to Karuvatta in the evening to go to a wedding function of his elder brother's child. "They went locking the house gate. When they returned at 10.30pm they found that the house has been broken into. The main gate was opened. The next day Kumar moved toward the police and filed a complaint. He uncovered to the police the name of a man whom he suspected to be behind the robbery," said the cop. The police began an investigation concentrating on the suspected. On Thursday morning, they found the missing gold jewellery before the house gate enveloped by a paper with a note wrote on it. The note stated: "Please forgive me. I took your jewellery as I was in urgent need of money. I won't repeat it. Kindly don't approach the police against me."
