According to Goodreads, I’ve got 31 books down this year.. my reading goal is about 100 books this year. I’ve done more but I need to learn and sit with a story and not just jump into the next one. With that said…
Highly recommend Tracy Deon’s legendborn series. Legend born , Blood marked, and Oathbound are exceptional.
Rebecca Yarros’ The Last Letter was honestly meant to make you ugly cry- read if you want emotional damage. Honestly, many of Rebecca Yarros’ contemporary romances are tear jerkers. One of the first I read was ‘In the Likely Event’ and I loved it so much.
Enjoyed The Book of Azrael by Amber V. Nicole. She knows how to write a fun series. I enjoy a good villain era. The rest of the books in that series are great and she def brings the spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Kissed by the Gods and Unwritten by the Gods by Caty Rohan was my first 5 star read of the year. I loved it. Even if the romance felt instalove lol. It didn’t take away from the great writing and the world building. I can’t wait for her next book!
Not too bad.
With that said, my DNF pile is pretty decent too
Fairydale - Veronica lancet
Dark lover - J.R Ward
Duskbound -Grenwich Lennox
The Poppy war trilogy - book 1 was great! Then book 2 happened and while I am all for feminine rage, it felt like too much at moments when she needed to be clear headed and calculated. It just wasn’t it for me at that point. I’ll probably go back to it at some point but, not at the moment.
And a few others I can’t remember for the life of me lol 😆
Anyway waiting on so many books coming out later in the year, more Amber v Nicole, The Wolf Queen, Acotar 6-7. Right now I get my acotar fix from the tumblr fandom ( crossing fingers that we get titles soon)
