Breathless

You took my breath away
In that moment there was nothing to say
The look in your eyes-molten, slow
Spoke of places only skin could know
*
Your scent, a whisper of amber and rain,
Pulled me closer, erased the pain.
Fingertips grazed like fire on silk,
Tracing promises, warm as milk.
*
The hush between us, thick with heat,
Where every glance felt like a heartbeat.
You leaned in, and time forgot
The rules, the world, the things we're not.
*
Your mouth, a secret I longed to taste,
Each word you murmured, a breathless haste.
My hands, unsure, then bold, then free
Found poetry in your ecstasy
*
We danced in shadows, lips unspoken,
Where every touch left something broken
Not in pain, but in restraint,
A hunger too vivid to ever paint.
*
And though the night may steal the flame,
Its memory burns, untamed, unnamed.
For in your gaze, I saw the start
Of every ache that haunts the heart.
