It happened that I went hiking between the Castle of Amberd and Mount Aragats in the Aragatsotn Region in Armenia. The hilly Landscape was Pasture Land, treeless, but all green, making the Passage from Spring to Summer, the Creeks in the Valleys richly filled with the above melting Snow, the Air full of Scents of Herbs and Blossoms. To reach the lowest accessible Field of Snow was my declared Goal and I crossed Crest after Crest as they appeared one after another to get closer... On the Way, distantly looming Mount Ararat and I became Witnesses of the Exuberance of Creatures, Man and Beast, to which this Land is Home, as soon as the Ice and Snow let off their cold Grasp. Finally having reached the Accumulation of old and crusted Snow on the Meadow I felt like I also reached some Kind of Home. I felt refreshed and full of Joy. I felt endlessly lonely and sad at the same Time. Dispite all the Anguish and Grief in my Heart because of my very Existence at the Expense and to the Disadvantage of others, of every (Human) Being en gros, dispite receiving and taking from the ones I love the most, hurting them and causing them Harm en miniature, somehow, in a Way that cannot be explained with Words but can surely be experienced, there, in this Moment, I felt reconciled.
