"I can't believe we will be getting on a boat again," Rin mused as she finished combing her hair out and started to tied her hair back so it was out of her face for their journey. She had to admit she was a little nervous about this trip. The two of them hadn't been on a boat together since they'd escaped Kina and Naraku's household and while she knew that would never happen again to them, they'd grown much stronger since those days, is brought back painful memories.

Quickly she finished getting ready and walked over to her husband. "Kohaku, just promise me that no matter where one of us goes, the other one will follow. Alright?"

She leaned in an planted a soft, loving kiss on Kohaku's lip before pulling away only far enough to lean her forehead against his chest. "I love you."

Rin had been watching the skies since dawn, pacing back and forth waiting. She knew it was his job, and she supported him in it, but she hated not knowing if something had gone wrong. How would she know if it had gone wrong? And then when she felt like she could wait no longer a small black dot appeared on the horizon. And she took off running. Running up the snowy embankment so she could get as close to him as possible. So they could be reunited that much sooner. 

She slipped slightly in the snow. Man, she hated shoes. But she made it to the top of the hill and started waving. “Kohaku! Welcome back Kohaku! And Kirara! Welcome home!”
