Finding a home for Natalia.
We got to Preveza in the evening and spent the night in the Cleopatra marina where we had a meeting the following morning about wintering Natalia. With a bitter sweet taste we signed the contract starting on the 13th of August… But we both felt confident that we chose a good home for her for the next months. And as we are obliged by the contract to be on site when the boat is taken out of the water, I am looking forward to seeing how the process of dry docking looks like.
The next morning we sailed into the Ambracian Gulf where we anchored for the day in a bay close to Vonitsa, and moved just outside the town for the night. The water was the warmest we experienced so far, nearing 32C. It felt like being in a bath! Needless to say we all loved it and almost never left the sea :-) Summer is here for sure, with temperatures sky rocketing to nearly 40C. The only relief is to seek water, so even while sailing Thor likes to cool himself down however he can :-)
In the evening we took a walk around Vonitsa, reminiscing our first time there, where we did anchoring for the very first time after leaving Paxos. This time round we chose exactly the same spot, for the old time’s sake :-)
The next morning we made our way to Preveza where we moored on the town quay, waiting for the arrival of our next visitors - Martin’s friend Hans and his girlfriend Patchi.
