come fight me (ง’̀-‘́)ง | @ambrosien
We are the last of the Elvhen. Never again shall we submit.
Her eyes narrowed to the Child that threatened her temple’s safety, he refused to see the truth forcing her hand further and further until it would snap and reply his violence with something much worse. When he look at the elf he only saw the peace that she had always chosen to show, he only saw the kind gestures towards the Children and himself because that was part of her herself but if he had yet to learn that one does not change it’s nature… Then he wasn’t paying attention to the priestess’ lessons. Her teeth gritted as the scars on her lips twisted turning her expression all the more threatening, he refused to listen and kept speaking such righteous words to protect himself from the truth. The dalish were as lost as the children from the cities, regardless of what sweet lies the spouted without thinking.
“Never again shall we submit?” her voice is cold, a low roar with rage dripping from it. It had finally come the time to fight for what was right, to put their hands to work to and make things better. A half smile formed on her lips, mocking his naivety when it came to the world around him. It was a nice thing to see, to see how they still hoped that this world could continue without acknowledging that it was falling apart.
The priestess thought that the Children did not deserve to believe in such a lie, it was time to tear this world in order to give them something better and she would tear anyone that believed otherwise and dared to step between her and the goals that were set in her mind.
“Until now, you have done nothing other than bend your knee to humans. Do not elude yourself.” the words were spat as he leaped with his daggers in his direction and the priestess dodged simply watching him as the smile disappeared from her lips. He was her Child, the same Child that she had protected for the years that she had helped the Inquisition, the Child that she thought about Dirthamen and the other Gods and now the Child used his rage against her blindly. A heavy and sad sigh left her lips as she let him come close and his daggers dug deeply into her flesh on her arm. She noticed that he had aimed for her neck but that was protected like her wrists. His rage blinded him so that he forgot that all the blood that would pour from her body would only increase her own strength.
A flash of understanding rushed over his eyes as the darkness in hers turned dark red, blood pulsing against his armour and coursing through her skin and armour to her hands. Her lips moved silently, giving the rites of the departed, not for herself but for the foolish child. Her arms wrapped around him pulling him closer to him as her claws dug deeper into his back, she had seen his armour times and times again, she knew the weaknesses and where it would tear if she pressed enough. Her dark eyes did not leave his as his blood poured to the floor of the temple. He shook and fear took over his eyes as she lowered him softly, claws feeling his torn flesh around them. Foolish children needed punishment for their actions, you are no different dear Inquisitior.
Her legs bent as his face was buried on her braids, a bloody claw moved now from his back to the back of his head tainting his hair with blood as she caressed. His breathing was ragged but hers was calm, he would soon walk with Falon’din, forgiven. She stood there, caressing her Children as sorrow clawed it’s way up her lungs to her throat and eyes, she sang a hymn of Falon’din until he was finally asleep.
