Here’s the deal.” April gave Jon an ‘up-to-no-good’ grin and shoved her hands in her pockets. “I’ve got nothing to do tonight, and if you have nothing to do tonight, than we should go find something to do together.” She gave him a nudge in the side. Was she asking him on a date? It sure as hell felt like they just fell back into their usual the second she saw him again. “It’s a big city, I’m sure there’s plenty to do. Unless, of course, you’re busy than you can just tell me to get lost and I’ll go play Mario Kart for the second night in a row.” Maybe she was asking him on a date.

she   wasn’t   entirely   sure   when   the   locker   room   had   turned   into   a   middle   school   party   but   here   they   were.   it   had   started   innocently   enough,   she’d   just   been   on   her   way   through   catering   when   she’d   been   pulled   into   this   …   whatever   it   was.   there   had   been   names   tossed   about   and   one   thing   had   led   to   another   and   now   –   well   now   she   was   in   a   closet. 

she   was   in   a   closet   with   DEAN. 

casting   a   look   from   him   to   the   door   and   back   again.   she   seemed   to   weigh   their   options   before   throwing   all   caution   to   the   wind.   it   took   all   of   one   step   before   she   was   planted   in   front   of   him,   hands   coming   up   until   she   could   push   him   back   against   the   nearest   wall;   a   corner   of   her   mouth   lifting   in   amusement.   ❝   seven   minutes   ...   don’t   want   t’   waste   it,   do   ya’?   ❞   the   question   was   accompanied   by   a   hand   on   the   back   of   his   neck   as   she   tugged   him   down   to   meet   her   for   a   rough   kiss.

  “Oh great if it isn’t the ＲＥＪＥＣＴ of the shield, Dean Ambrose.” Cody drawled, finishing looping his bootlaces. Originally perched on one knee, Cody stood at full height, eyeing the scruffier man with obvious distaste, “If I couldn’t smell you from a mile away or hear the heavy clunk of those worn out shoes - I’d say you’d have a better chance at sneaking up on me.” 

  He examined his nails as if they were more interesting to look at, “The hell do you want anyways? My time is precious.” He had to make sure not a hair was out of place, his boots polished, nails filed - he had to look 𝒟𝒜𝒮𝐻𝐼𝒩𝒢 for his match.

  Maxwell was taken aback by the sudden question. He gripped Dean’s chin and looked him dead in the eye, “What’s not to love, Deano? You’re jus’ a regular guy who enjoys a fight as much as I do. You’re not fake, you’re not consumed by fame or greed.” 

  he pecked his lips and offered a wry grin,  “You’re great in bed…….for a wrestler.”

  “I love you because you’re authentic. You’re not afraid to be yourself and I admire that.”

  Ambrose was old enough to be charged as an adult and the kid still didn’t learn. Not that the crimes he committed were in anyway heinous just plain stupid. He was more of an annoying child then a real threat and most of the cops knew how to deal with him but sneaking into Bruno’s house… that was new.

  “What the hell are you doing?” Bruno sat upright, the harsh street lights shining through the window illuminating his exhausted features. He sighed through his nose and rubbed a calloused hand against his face when Dean clambered into his bed and plopped down without a care in the world. For once Bruno was too tired to shout or tell the moron off so he left it at that and lay back down, “Just stay on your side of the bed, brat.”

  “and for god sakes can you at least close the window next time?”
