AmeBul Headcanon #2

Milen is also proud. Or he atleast tries to be, given that Bulgaria is one of the poorer countries in Eastern Europe. That pride is what often prevents Milen from accepting gifts from Alfred. Even if they are pretty and shine, and esspecially if expensive. It's having to turn down gifts like that that make Milen want to go home later and cry over not being able to accept those gifts from Alfred.

AmeBul Headcanon #1

Milen thinks and acts like he is much bigger than he actually is. He will try to size people up, but not necessarily be mean about it. It just helps him to feel better about himself and country.

He especially does this with Alfred, despite America obviously being bigger and stronger than him.
