Shit just got real Myspace up in here.
Questions from my lovely ladyfrand Meghan:
1. Who is your favorite person?
I would have to say my father. It's been really great getting to know him on a more personal level, but it has been unnerving seeing the fragility that was never made visible to me. I am glad to have him as a parent, and as a confidante, and as a human in my life. He has had more influence on me than I probably care to admit, and it's almost entirely positive. Next up is probably Meghan.
2. If you had to give up at least one form of meat, which one(s) and why? If you already don’t eat a specific type of meat (or more) tell me why!
I don't eat meat for conservation reasons as well as philosophical reasons. I feel we're at a point where eating things with some degree of intelligence isn't entirely moral. I have nothing wrong with others doing it, I just abstain.
3. Describe your ideal life.
Ideal? Hm. I'm not entirely certain. I mean, /ideally/ I'd be able to do whatever and be wherever I felt like at any given moment, but that's not entirely realistic. I feel like an attainable goal would be to live somewhere that was about 2 hours away from backpacking, an hour away from an airport, and less than 4 hours away from ocean. (California, anyone?) I'd have my house paid off, have a stable job that I loved, and focus on being content. Everything else kind of just falls into place.
5. What’s your favorite thing about your favorite season?
I love the transition into Winter in AZ. The clouds move in and bring some rain, the temperature starts to drop, and everything looks like it's been put through an HDR filter. Best cuddling ever.
6. Do you ship? Pick an OTP and gush about it.
Ooh... That's a difficult and loaded question. I might have to say Morrowind, but the rest of me wants to say TF2 or some other FPS that I've played a lot with friends. Maybe BF2.
10. What gets you jump up and down excited?
Astronomy, astrophysics, and cosmology.
11. Why do people deserve love and respect? Why do you deserve love and respect? Do you think everyone deserves some form of love and respect? Why or why not?
People should be, at first, approached with at least love in the sense of sharing a similar experience with everyone and acknowledging their experiences and feelings as valid. Respect is not a given for anyone. I can respect an individual's rights, I can respect an individual's limitations, but if I am to respect someone, they are someone who, I feel, has their shit together and does no harm to others. The latter is far more important.
I can't say that I inherently deserve either, though I know I desire to be love and aspire to be respectable.
