Location: The Train @ameliaxdalton
The train was one of those island temptations that Mik couldn't resist. He'd been eyeing it up for a while, the rusting behemoth at the edge of the jungle. Given his last forays into the jungle, it took him a few days to work up the courage to go closer to it, always looking behind him to make sure that he still had a clear 'out' of the jungle if he needed it, in case something worse than giant flies came his way. Today, finally, he was ready to explore it a little. Look around for some nice things to take back to Nick's shack.
Mik pushed his way through a squeaky door, looking through the first carriage. It was full of old cabins, like in the old movies. The first cabin he opened looked lived in. Mik not knowing whether the occupant was still living there decided to leave it alone, and continue onto the next cart.
He opened the door into a dining cart, full of tables and chairs bolted down to the floor. One of the windows was broken, and vines had grown into the room at the far side. Mik walked over to the bar on the opposite side, wondering if there might be any glasses that he could get for Nick when he saw something *move near the vines.
Jumping back, Mik crashed back into a table, panicking until he realised it was a woman, who was sitting still at a table. "Hi," Mik said, clutching his chest as he tried to calm down from the real-life jumpscare. Served him right for exploring the creepy abandoned train by himself. "Didn't see you there, gave me a fright." Mik waved to the woman, rubbing his thigh from where he'd banged it against the table.
“Now I feel a bit rude, coming in and looking about. You live here?” Mik asked, looking around the compartment the same way he’d look over a new friend’s apartment.
