I am also questioning whether it will fully stick or not, but with Biden putting in a declaration, ie a Presidential Executive Order, it places more power behind it. There will be a lot of legal challenges since much of the ratification timeframe has expired, and some states have changed their ratification statuses to negative or others to positive. Biden's declaration means the US needs to actually work on deciding legality and discussing the ERA as law.

Our 27th Amendment had been on the books as a possibility since it was first introduced in 1789, but it wasn't ratified fully until 1992. So, things can take time to be fully pushed through.

My hope is that the challenges take time and work out in the end, because what those challenges do is pause the ability to discriminate based on sex. Forcing change as the law gets sorted.

So, I don't know about you guys, but since the government shutdown I've seen a lot more posts similar to this:

FINALLY SOMEONE ASKED HIM THE QUESTION! ON "ABC-TV" DURING THE "NETWORK SPECIAL ON HEALTH CARE".... OBAMA WAS ASKED: "MR. PRESIDENT WILL YOU AND YOUR FAMILY GIVE UP YOUR CURRENT HEALTH CARE PROGRAM AND JOIN THE NEW 'UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE PROGRAM' THAT THE REST OF US WILL BE ON ????" THERE WAS A STONEY SILENCE AS <>OBAMA IGNORED THE QUESTION AND CHOSE NOT TO ANSWER IT !!! IN ADDITION, A NUMBER OF SENATORS WERE ASKED THE SAME QUESTION AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS."WE WILL THINK ABOUT IT." AND THEY DID. Others are not so elaborate, but still talk about this supposed Amendment 28 that so many people want. I have a few problems with this whole thing, and I'll be using the quoted text--which, by the way, was from January anyway and is now significantly outdated-- for the rest of this [hopefully] short rant.

As usual, the viral Facebook bullshit is just that-- bullshit. We got the sheeple just taking what they want because it's what they agree with/want to hear. We always have this tendency to just jump the gun and believe one thing we see on the internet without looking through twenty or so things and actually figuring out which has the most evidence. It's really obnoxious.

I'm also curious to know how many people are aware that Amendment 28 isn't exactly a real thing, and that the way they want it to work, won't. I'll just leave a screen cap of my own angry Facebook post on the idea of that Amendment here:
