I’m fucking sick of everyone looking at me like I’m crazy for going to Jordan for 4 months next semester. LIKE CHILL PPL JORDAN IS NOT RUN BY ISIS, stop generalizing the entire Middle East as one ticking time bomb. Jordan is one of the safest countries in the Middle East and rarely experiences any sudden bursts of violence. Like I understand that Americans are known to be closed-minded and ignorant but like how do people seriously not fathom the fact that they are living in a country where daily mass gun violence is the norm and still somehow think America is the greatest, safest country there is?? Like i literally have a higher chance of getting killed in America than I do in Jordan, or in many other countries for that matter. AND OF ALL THINGS, this rando dude in cvs today overheard a convo i was having with a pharmacist about me studying in Jordan and he had the nerves to tell me “oh man, I’d stay here and be safe.. Kent State is right down the road, that’ll do for me”. Like his notion of safety, OF ALL PLACES, is at a place that is historically known for the shooting and killing of students by the OHIO NATIONAL GUARD. Americans are seriously in denial about the violence going on in this country and for some reason the frequency of such violence contributes to this denial. You know, there are people in other countries who would be scared to live in America because of how often mass shootings occur here? Like everyone just needs to shut the fuck up and put things into perspective.

so yesterday in my world history class we were talking about absolutism and how it relates to government and my teacher told us to write down 3 examples of absolute rulers and most people wrote down; castro, kim jong un, stalin, hitler, etc. but he called on this girl in the front and she said Barrack Obama and she is a bigger joke than lebron's hairline.
