Mermaids and Detectives
Boredom had overtaken her again. It wasn't unusual or anything, but Flounder was busy with some surprise for his parents and her father was distracted with preparations for an upcoming ball, so what better time then to take a nice, relaxing swim?
She'd swum for two hours, the water was getting cold, and the sun had quickly hidden behind some clouds. The murky clarity of the water bothered her and she surfaced, finding herself in a strange river in a very new place. The red head narrowed her eyes, quickly sliding over to shore and popping up, enjoying the heat as the sun briefly peeked out.
