This client was looking for a kitchen refresh while opening up the space to create a more open entry into the unit. We achieved this by removing a portion of the hall and creating a functional landing space immediately upon entry. The client was interested in keeping the original footprint including cabinets above the sink and and elevated counter. We wanted to propose another option which removes the cabinets above the sink to visually open the kitchen up to the rest of the home, and extend the sink counter out for an even elevated seating counter.
