Once upon a time, there was a girl, she was average, of no importance to anyone. This girl spent most of her days slaving away to do what people called living. She spent many an hour at this place called work. Then hours at this site called the school. She barely had any time to spend with amazing people she had met. She missed her friends that she created with her fingers. The ones who cry, to her at night to come out and play and talk to her amazing friends that she had met because of these created beings. One day, before a class she had sat down to do a reading, something necessary for a class she had that week. When out of nowhere one of her beings poked her.
“Hey, we still are here you know" Jeff whispered into her ear. He had been patient, they all had been patient, watching her. Waiting for the right time to finally approach her.
"Yes, we're here still miss. We've missed you" Trent patted her. She felt the tears well up; she had missed all of them too.
"No, no, don't cry. Please don't cry." She heard the soft voices of Marie and Heather the two that she silently kept alive because they held such strong muses in her heart. She smiled, she had been glad to know they were still such a potent force in her mind. That all of them had not left or forsaken her since October, it seemed like it had been so long ago that she had done what she'd done.
"I'm sorry" Her voice was fragile, she barely recognized it as her own.
"No, don't be sorry, don't apologize for trying to live. For trying to do your best to survive in this world" The stronger voice of Sebastian bled thru the others trying to stop her apologies. They didn't want her to apologize they just wanted her to know they were here. They wanted to come out and play and keep her smiling. It was something she had done without them lately, and they had been worried that they were going to be left as the barbies had, or the Polly pockets, or even the many activities she had done as a girl.
"But, I am sorry." she sniffled to the group, no one else could see them, but she knew they were there. They would always be there, and maybe more would come, and others would go, but they would still be there with her keeping her happy and safe. "How about, we play, when we can. In between the chaos and life, I learn to take time for me, for us." She told the group that she held dear to her heart. "I'm sure that those who love you will be missing you as I have." she smiled, wiping her tears away.
"That sounds lovely," Trent said with a soft smile. She always admired how sweet he was, he was her baby of the group the one she had had the longest.
"I like that Idea, I have a lot more to me that needs to be out." Jeff proclaimed and wagged his brows, she giggled. He needed to stop doing that, he had a severe eyebrow problem.
"Maybe, you can bring us out to play soon too!" Heather asked happily, and Marie nodded her head in agreement. She'd have to find people to play these two with, they were sweet and sassy in their own rights, and she loved playing them, but she was picky on who she let into these girls lives as their stories were outstanding and so well pieced together already.
"I wouldn't mind getting back to my main love," Sebastian said fidgeting as he made that declaration. She nodded, she understood. Sebastian was her strong-minded and willed individual and he hardly ever admitted how he felt. Especially to her, it always came way too late for even her to realize.
"Alright then, we will work on time. We will work on getting our voices out there. Working on our stories." she told them with as she smiled that she loved how they accepted this, how they waited, how they let her come to them in her own time.
As she sat there looking at the screen she decided at that moment she'd do it. She'd start to play, though on her days off, maybe on her days she had school. Even sometimes before work if she could. She'd try once more to enter the world she so sorely missed, with the people she had met and the life she created. Because they were waiting for her. They were waiting to see her smile and laugh and build once more.
