All she could do is stare behind the brunet, spotting the bright screen on his phone. “…You have a mom?” Was he sad—about his parents? Also, Alice doesn’t even remember her family—save for the Will of the Abyss being her twin sister.
Hibiki shook his head, tears building in his eyes. "...She just died...I haven't seen her in months and she..." he broke down, tears spilling past his eyes and he desperately covered his face with his hands.

ღ;; It wasn't often that Ada had visited the Rainsworth Manor, especially in a school semester due to the urgency that the situation called for, so it was only natural that she'd get lost somewhere inside the expansive building in her attempts to find her brother. However, when she found herself bumping into somebody, the young woman wasn't quite sure if it was luck or not that she had finally found somebody who might be able to navigate her. After all, she had just bumped into them--- they might not be in the most favorable of moods. Letting out a small squeak at the sudden contact, she was quick to apologise. "A-Ah, I'm sorry.. Um, I'm a little bit lost and I was wondering if you could help me out..?"

The blond glanced at her with a gentle smile on his face. “Well, since the truth came out already, I don’t care any longer, and I don’t need anyone’s pity or forgiveness. I am just doing what has to be done, and you won’t stand on my way this time, Alice. The world will sink into the Abyss, so she won’t feel lonely anymore.”

It's true that Hibiki looks young, and mistakenly fragile if you're quick to judge. But once you see his power, his true potential, then you'll think otherwise. And even the person who smiles the most can also be the one who's been broken and shattered. In my view, that's what I see. I just wanted say it. He's not the protagonist for nothing. Every hero's got to have some sort of despair in their path, right?)
(I’m glad I was able to help! And even if I didn’t speak up, I’m pretty sure someone else would’ve noticed, right? .u. As I can see on my dashboard, there’s definitely character development, even if it’s just headcanons.)
(I hope so. ouo Hibiki can only really be called innocent with sexual things anyway, mostly because he has little to no desire for that. Romance he's just oblivious towards. Everything else though...Just because someone has childish moments, to compare them to a literal child character is insulting.)

"They know, because you have my scent." Alice replies, turning around to guard the boy. "If a human like you sticks around with a chain for long enough, you’ll catch my scent. That’s probably why they’re looking for you….We can’t stay here."
Hibiki sighed, nodding. Chains were weird. But he trusted Alice. "Alright. Let's get going."
