Hello friend that gifset you reblagged with Chris Evans, Saldana and Elba is from The Losers, and it's a pretty entertaining action flick though it sadly doesn't have many ladies in it.
Thank Hank ;)

HISSSS but angry sexual tension is the best.
Yes true :D It is a good scene (and we needed some FenrisxHawke sexual tension in this fic since we really haven't seen any yet) but I was just hoping it would flow from my brain to keyboard more easily, ya feel me?
"I trust you, that's the thing." For Venko, if you like. X
Kaidan paced a little. “Do you think I should get it?”"It’s your ink, K." James said, leaning back in the chair."I trust you, that’s the thing." Kaidan bent down and kissed James on the lips.James curled his hand up to keep him there for just a second more. “Mmm. That’s dangerous, you know.” He traced his fingertips down the side of Kaidan’s neck, where he liked to be kissed. Kaidan tilted his head up and James dragged his lips over his throat. He was getting distracted. “Yes…” he whispered against skin.Kaidan sighed, straddling James’ lap, hands sliding over his shoulders. Not everything was permanent. But he had a good feeling about this one.
(ask coz too long to reply) I understand needing to do the work to make the unlikely ship work... like you have to look pretty closely to see James/Kaidan BUT I'M TAKING THE GLIMMERS AND RUNNIN' WITH EM. From what I've seen of Fenders (?) it's like the Jackanda of DA which means I'll LOVE IT.
but lbr, James can be pretty well shipped with anyone so far as I can tell, so it really didn't even occur to me to question them as a ship in your fic, lol.
And yes that is probably the BEST description of Fenders I have heard. They kind of hate each other's guts. But they're so similar! Terrible pasts, just want to be free, etc. I even read an interview with Gaider (I think?) where he said their romance arcs ended up being pretty much the same - broody guys who are like 'you shouldn't love me waaa'. So, the more I look into them the more they make sense in my head as a pair. (does some vague hand-waving about the mage issue b/c I think if they were to put aside their assumptions for five seconds and listen to each other's valid reasons they might just agree to disagree).
i do hope you love it though! The dynamic is going to be a little different than the threesomes I've read so far (which, to be fair, aren't like a zillion). Your and Dela's threesomes are mostly made up of everyone rather likes each other and just has to figure out how to like each other all at the same time, but with Fenris and Anders despising each other to start it will make things interesting and tense and stuff. and ofc there's just Hawke in the background going 'i can has both?' which is really what started this whole thing in the first place...

Supernatural fandom studies might be something I’d be interested in reading?!?
oooh. I would direct you to the works of Katherine Larsen and Lynn Zubernis, then. They're academics, a psychologist and lit prof, who've written a number of things on the Supernatural fandom. Fangasm is a sort of informal book about their experiences, and their academic book is called Fandom at the Crossroads. Both are good and make some similar points, but Fangasm has a lot of fangirling and Fandom at the Crossroads uses a lot of academic terminology to really study the fandom. They talk a lot about slash fic too, since they both go into Supernatural when Wincest was the big ship. Some really interesting points about female sexuality as expressed through fanfic and shaming of female desire, that kind of thing. oh and there are some cool interviews with a number of the important peoples (actors, writers, etc) which are nifty too.
Their blog is here.
They have a couple of newer books which I haven't read; in particular Fan Phenomena seems interesting and I believe it has a number of different essays on the spn fandom from different people - I think Misha might have written one? I forget.
I definitely would recommend their stuff; I pulled strongly from it when trying to write my essay. :D
polyships are never as well populated as you think they should be because of entrenched ideas of monogamy and romance, also because poly is haaaard and I guess I understand but it's always deeply disappointing to me.
Hm, that does make sense.
But I agree, rather deeply disappointed with the fact at the moment. Fenris and Anders have way more similarities than you would think from the way they snipe at each other, and I think they might be the two most popular LIs in DA2, so come on, people, we really should let Hawke have them both. Pls and thank. :D
