i know right. they sampled a lot of band in their early demos so if anything they “copied” a bit of chiptune / 8bit. dont get me wrong theyr my fvourite band but im one of those fans that think bands do no wrong.
this isn't the problem. i'm aware that they sampled a lot of things and got lots of copyright issues, but i think it's part of the creative process of anyone and shit.
the problem is that some people don't understand that crystal castles isn't the only group that can use 8bit, they think that any 8bit electronic group is a crystal castles copy. that's pure bullshit.
