New Stills of Dakota Johnson as Lucy in ‘Am I OK?’
just felt like ranting since i’m in the hospital & bored & I guess i could use this more to rant. Not my heart feeling weird & my body & i had to come to the ER lmao. Wild. They asked if my emergency contact was still current & it was my ex & that sank my heart. On top of my heart already physically hurting 💀 i changed it. Obviously bc they can’t call her if i died lmao. anyways, i’ve been here for a min & they’ve been running test. Being in the hospital for myself lowkey scary. I’m just chilling i guess but in pain? Baseball is playing & i have no idea how that works & it’s cold asf. Hate it here 😭 this guy just tried to fight someone in the wheelchair?? I guess?? Lmao. I watched the last of us last night, both eps, & like i knew it was gonna happen but i didn’t think it would hurt all over 😭 anyways, ima go now & try to keep my self sane.

Sundance 2022: COVID Edition Part 2
Hi All!
My name is Mara Knight and I am a senior at Eckerd College majoring in Film Studies with a psychology minor. I started my film journey during the second semester of sophomore year and I am very excited to continue learning and gaining experience.
The Sundance film festival is a yearly festival where filmmakers from all over the country come together to share their independent films. It takes place in Park City, Utah, with usually over 100,000 attendees. It is a great opportunity for filmmakers to share their content while meeting other professionals in the industry. This event is typically held in person but due to the pandemic, it has been switched to be completely online. Although I believe this drastically changes the experience, I am very lucky to still have the opportunity to watch these amazing films. That being said, I have a few films that I am extremely excited to watch from the comfort of my own room.
Most of my “must-watch” films deal with social groups such as queer films, black films, and women lead films. I tend to gravitate towards these genres because those are the types of films I aspire to work on in the future. I want to start with Am I Ok? This female-centered film explores themes of friendship, romance, and queerness between two best friends. For someone who has not been in many relationships, I do indeed love a good romance story and that's why this film is number on my “must-watch list”. Following the path of female lead, I am also excited to see Girl Picture. This coming-of-age film navigates the journeys of three girls as it explores the same themes as Am I Ok? I am mainly intrigued to see how Am I Ok? And Girl Picture differs in their story and approach to these themes. Switching to a more lighthearted story, When You Finish Saving the World immediately got my attention, mainly because Finn Wolfhard ( Stranger Things) is a leading character. Emergency and Alice also top the list of “must watch” as they explore black stories, which is a major priority for my future filmmaking career. I also want to see Final Cut, a comedy film that explores my least preferred genre, zombie apocalypse. I'm hoping to expand on my film preferences after watching this long-awaited film.
As far as short films, I chose films that deal with character development and stories where they must find their own path. I'm excited about these because my current life status involves many of these recurring themes such as friendship, and self-love. Some films include Appendage, F em Right Back, Daddy’s Girl, Precious Hair and Beauty, and Work.
The New Frontier category is what I am most intrigued about. On the Morning You Wake is one of the few documentaries that I am interested in. Like the other films I chose, it looks at the lives of people who face a huge disadvantage after a volcano hits a community in Hawaii. Another film I'm excited to see is They Dream In My Bones. This film taps into the world of dreams, a very little-known topic, yet something that we humans face every night. Perhaps my minor in psychology plays a part in this choice.
Despite the inability to be in person for this event, I am very excited to watch films that people put their entire hearts into!

MAMA WAS GREAT OK IM SITTING HERE TRYING NOT TO CRY AND SCREAM AND IDK WHAT IM SAYINGGGGFHCYVJBKBKK WHEN EXO CAME OUT I WAS HCUSSUICVIUD AND AT THE END WITH THEIR SPEECH I WAS A BLUBBERING MESS
Do you ever smile and cry at the same time. Because my brain is beginning to think that's normal. Do you ever get angry but say nothing anyway cause my mouth is unable to speak sometimes. Do you ever get scared but laugh because I've been doing that my whole life time. I think too much when I don't sleep. This is the result.
