Farm Bill Dies, but Hemp Gains Strength
Last week was an emotional roller coaster for industrial hemp supporters. On Thursday 6/20 the House of Representatives approved Amendment 37, which would have allowed for the cultivation of industrial hemp on the campuses of colleges and universities. This was a tremendous victory that can not be taken away and brings us one step closer to the solution. Unfortunately, the Farm Bill itself failed. The part that is so ironic is the Farm Bill failed over a food stamp amendment, but if they would just let us grow Hemp we could save the planet, the economy, and solve the world's hunger.
