mewithoutYou at Amoeba Music San Francisco

11 years ago, in the basement of a crack hotel in Greensboro, North Carolina, I saw mewithoutYou. For whatever reason I never had a chance to see them play live again until I was in San Francisco last month. 

About 10 hours before the gig, the night before I flew out, I found out about their in-store appearance at Amoeba SF. My Flight landed at 12pm, they went on a 2pm. I had 2 hours to get off the plane in Oakland, get my rental car, navigate the Bay Bridge traffic/toll nightmare, the streets of San Francisco, and find parking on Haight street without running over a burn out hippie or traveler kid. Luckily I walked into Amoeba right as the band took the stage. They played a handful of songs from the new record on runforcoverrecords​ to a crowd of about 60 people.
