"It really doesn’t look anything like it’s supposed to, does it? Hold on." She reached for the makeshift piping bag with an abysmal amount of pink frosting in it and went to work. "There we are." She turned it around and showed him the finished product. "It probably still tastes good, though."

It didn't take Peri long to throw on a sweatshirt and walk to the park where Alex was -- or at least, where she sincerely hoped he was. After walking around for a few minutes, she found her way to the pond where ducks usually lingered, seeing Alex and sighing slightly. "Hey, drunkie."
