My god you know what i love? Amos/Hephzibah and Dan's relationship. I did my best to make it gentle and sweet- these two are having a really had run of it, yknow? And i started out immediately building it as they get a touch flustered around the other, but also i put in a LOT more like, mentions of physical touch between those two than i think i do with anyone else. And even before they're dating, dan turns to amos for comfort, Amos kisses the top of his head, they're often holding hands or whatever. I think at one point i said something like a familiar hand found its home on dans shoulder, or something sappy like that. Theres that one scene too after they fight the roadrunner and dan gets the cracked ribs, like, i can see it so clearly in my mind, dan sitting on the edge of the bed with amos tucked up crosslegged behind him, dans got his shirt off and hes feeling a little self consious, and amos just really gently tap tap tap runs his finger along dans spine, and he shivers, and then when amos runs into the cracked ones he whispers soothingly like ah, there they are. Before he starts healing.
And then once Amos transitions to Hephzibah, i love her like, quiet nervousness, of like... do ye still like me?? And dans like uh obviously. And then i feel like their relationship just gets closer after that.
