Two tastes that go great together: a 1959 Ampeg Rocket and my old Gretsch 6118 Double Anniversary. Picked up the Gretsch brand new over a decade ago, and Mr. TV Jones was kind enough to bring in his test guitar and help me find the perfect pair of his Filter'Trons for it. Tested about every vintage-appropriate floating bridge on it too (Space Control: sounded like poop, bar bridge: sounded like a fat tub of butter, Melita: no bueno for palm muting) and settled on the lightweight aluminum Bigsby bridge that's still on it today.
