Debuting Fabian and their dancers - Davvi, Selena, Therin, and Elroy!

Probs in-canon debut dance stage thing - also an excuse to do a full body for Fabian n the dancers (who will get elaborated on to have a bit more, as they're gunna also do an instrument or something most likely)

It was also to like, have Fabian in another funky outfit as they do a variety of funky outfits depending on the song - I should in the future probs plan em out more cuz I kinda just spitballed ideas

also still tryin to figure out exactly what the songs will be but this one I feel is very Celestial moon n stars themed - at some point I wanna try n make songs that in-universe Fabian and other musicians would make but that requires me to learn music making stuff and I'm still tryin to learn 3D modelling (I also would wanna do a music video of like, in-universe stage performance AND an edited music video type of thing and I feel like that's gunna be a whole thing)

Just posting Avarian's ref atm cuz I love how the cooking doodle came out

I will do a master post of the crew once I finish the refs, got 2 left to do meaning probably tomorrow or the day after if I continue my 1 ref a day (the stuff I gotta do is render the uniform thing cuz I already did the sketches and the doodles of the fella vibin or whatever)

I am also gunna wanna work on a lot of the other things I need to work on for Amphyle Tau so I can start actually making mini stories n like I wanna try n figure out how to do like an in-universe ask blog thing cuz they're neat n all that

I think I posted here when tryin to do the 3D model - got sidetracked w doing something else and I wanna start over lmao - and actually research a bit more before getting into it

admittedly, I did get more comms and am waiting for email about training for a new job (which will be part time) so who knows how my rate of art is gunna be effected (also the comms aren't something I can post here lmao)

the gore probs don't really come across as such - they got blue blood and I didn't look up refs, I did this while waiting for us to head out, expecting that I'd just get the sketch done

Atax is tryin their best to comfort Potchly cuz they've both been through a really rough 1-2 days (timeline still being worked on)

The gash is a new idea and is why Atax hasn't had that scar in any previous works - and they're liable to get more or have them change as the event is still being workshopped as I figure out how the ships are constructed and how the Ievak fight n stuff like that

also this event is why, even though Atax is the Captain of the ship, they don't get to be the one on the field and stay as more of the man in the chair type of thing

They work under Potchly, making them a field medic, basically

If the Event hadn't happened, they would've still been working under someone else (still a doctor - I just haven't named them)

Potchly, the main doctor of the two of their current crew.

Honestly, they had the roughest of the three. Their career wouldn't be too much different - just caring for more people - but it had changed them personally.

I am kinda bein vague w details cuz I want to make the stroy I'm working on either a comic or an animated show - but also that's gunna take a while - plus details are prone to changing as things get solidified, so I am really only talking about things that are likely to not change

I've practically never drawn how a body is structured n such (drawn skeletal stuff but like, pieces for skulls or something) - I've more of just studied the shapes and not why they're like that

Ofc I'm gunna draw roughly how the muscles and skeletons are like for the parts of the body I'm making prosthetic designs for cuz I can't just... look at stuff and do it, I have to figure out how and why these designs are the way they are

also for the tail I accidentally drew the muscles and the bones on the same layer

I hope my perfectionism isn't gunna make it too much of a struggle (at least, more than it already has for this project) but ik that's why I haven't made the 3D model yet

I'm doin the design now cuz I want to draw Avarian cooking, fleshing out that doodle I like, and they def don't hide their prosthetic limb and therefore, I gotta figure out how it'll look

Man, I can't wait to like, finally get all the lore stuff written up and polished enough to switch to the in-universe site I've been working on - cuz the carrd of the species, which just had the Xariels and Ievak, is gunna get yeeted once the site is made - may end up staying in existence if I ever make a species not set in Amphyle Tau - but I love the way it's been looking and the only thing really stopping me from like, making it more public, is that it's currently just the skeleton of the idea.

Visually, I reconstructed it to be kinda like NASA's site for the home page cuz this is a universe site, and NASA's site is talking about the universe n such

Originally it was pretty boring ngl so, even though this direction is more work, I like it and am excited

also imma make sure the details on the site aren't gunna be required to understand what's going on in the... whatever I decide to use as a story medium (between comic or like, animated episodes, cuz I have to do 3D models to not get burnt out like last time, but also doin animated episodes means imma want to get VAs but also I'm broke af, and I'm also worried that like, w my inexperience, it's gunna be frustrating to work w me cuz I don't even have ideas for how they talk?? I also haven't looked into it at all yet)
