Just finished S3 of The Walking Dead. (spoilers for Season 3 ahead obviously)
Just some thoughts:
It feels like some characters are refreshed every now and then. At some point it seems to be that Carl is the only one who is watching the same show I'm watching. And then it's like Rick is now redeemed of all his mistakes and Carl is throwing a temper tantrum because he doesn't like his dad's decisions.
Rick conveniently omits information, even when he comes clear to everyone. Then tries to guilt trip his son over something he would have done himself (and did do, actually). Not saying Carl did the right thing but hell... the logic of his action is more sound that Rick's actions throughout the season.
I still ADORE the bastard, despite this rant.
I blame the writing? Maybe there were some bits of dialogue that were changed and overall made Rick look like he was not entirely coming clear and that he was doing in knowingly. (the KNOWINGLY part is what makes me cringe a bit at Rick. It is always the KNOWINGLY part)
Also the paralells between Rick and the Governor are far too much to process having just seen it, and only once. Meta is welcome. Is there meta of twd out there? I need to follow some new blogs but I also don't want to have to quit Tumblr altogether so that I don't get (even more) spoiled.
Andrea? don't talk to me about Andrea I love Andrea and I always understood her and she's a fucking badass who hasn't forgotten who she is. I wanted to shake her and scream OPEN YOUR EYES to her but I fully understand her motives and I love her.
Do not talk to me about Daryl it's still too soon for me to verbalize my feelings for Daryl.
ampkiss Alexia this is your fault I KNEW this was going to happen and now look what you have done. I don't want to go into the crossbow thing and how kanishcat telling me there was a guy with a crossbow in TWD may or may not have tipped the scale and ahem MADE me start watching it.

When me and my brother were watching the episode and she said that, we had to pause it because we couldn't stop laughing and making jokes about how if Rick had been there Daryl would have been blushing and been like, "Carol, not in front of my crush JFC!"
