I wouldn’t be speaking to you if those resources were in any way effective at tracking Tomas down. In fact, the entirety of this conversation was less pleasant than if D’Ablo’s jaw were forced open and his teeth ripped out one by one with rusty pliers. He felt like he had repeated himself enough, but he had nothing else to harp on but, like I said, you know him better than anyone. You have a better idea of where he could be than I do. He was trying desperately to remain calm, but there was an edge in his voice that had only grown sharper as the conversation proceeded.

It highlights some things I mentioned before, in which I really love how descriptive your writing is, at least to me, without being overly so: I can feel myself getting lost and invested in the scene of the thread ! When he rolled into his own driveway, he didn’t expect to see Isaac already having made himself comfortable leaning against the island in the kitchen. Of course Velvet had let the baron know he’d be in town for the next few nights, despite Ash begging her not to.
