All of a sudden, she was like a different cat. She lets me pick her up. I can tell she still feels a bit tense, so I don't hold her long, and pet and speak softly to her when I do. She has a beautiful black coat and big green eyes. She loves to roll in the catnip I put on her bed and blankets. I'm think I'm going to bring the cat carrier into her room so she can be used to the scent. I want to make sure I can get her in the carrier for her vet visit. November 21. My heart feels so happy that I saved her. It just goes to show you that you really can't judge the temperament of a dog or cat in the shelter environment. Here is #Angelo formerly from the #NYCACC now placed with Deborah and her rescue @amsterdogrescue #amsterdogrescue: Here is there info on Angelo: ANGELO needed emergency vet care today and thanks to a wonderful team of determined angels, AmsterDog was able to get him out of the shelter. The amazing Katchen arrived bright & early and took him to Dr. Covitz who immediately gave him fluids as this poor baby was severely dehydrated. He also has mouth ulcers, and an upper respiratory, for which he was given a 9 day anti-biotic. Throughout all this, he remained calm and loving and is the sweetest boy! Tomorrow he will have bloodwork and we will monitor him and hopefully will get him over the hump so that he can have the loving home he deserves!
