'I've had ships become canon and let me tell you: you don't want that' i know right? every time a ship of mine becomes canon (which doesn't happen too often lol), I lose interest in them. don't know why. 🤷‍♀️

For me, it’s mostly that I am bored by established relationships most of the time because I’m ALL about the getting together tropes. Once that’s over and done with, I usually lose interest. I almost never read established relationship fic either. Just give me fifty million ways of my favorite ships to fall in love instead!

That aside, a couple of times when a ship I liked did become canon and I remained intrigued, TPTB messed it up so badly that I fell out of love with the ship and the fandom. (I’m looking at you, Gossip Girl!)
