Reasons why I badly need a laptop!!!! <- person who wants to be an UTAU producer

Im too worried and anxious about that one computer at my house not bcuz it's old but because it's out in the open right next to the fucking kitchen and I know my family members are going to pass by there more than once a day so obviously they're gonna try to ask what im doing which I DON'T like bcuz I'm terrified at the thought of my entire family knowing I'm on social media working as a music producer 😭

The laptop I own is a school issued device, meaning it has legalized spyware and restrictions in place that prevent me from downloading new software (OpenUTAU, Duckduckgo, etc) and yes, Microsoft store and Edge are blocked on it too.

There's that laptop at my other parent's house but it's technically not my laptop and while I can download OpenUTAU and duckduckgo (matter of fact I already have them installed on there) I only go there on the weekends and sometimes I don't, meaning I'd only have the weekends to work on a project but I want (more like need) more time to actually work on smth

my tablet obviously won't work. Ik openutau has a mobile version & there's utalet and bandlab technically works on mobile browser, BUT...I dont like using any of them on mobile💔💔 srry but they just work better on computer ok?

Maybe I'll try asking for my own laptop for my birthday (or Christmas since they're both pretty close)

Also the benefits of me being an UTAU Producer:

I can vent in ✨style✨

Composing would be a good hobby for me

Good way to write about my OCs

I can create fnuuy parodies of kids songs

I can do goofy ahh voiceovers of those GLMMs without having to expose anyones voice (including mine) idk I just think it'd be funny to hear Adachi Rei yelling "DON'T TOUCH MY BABY GIRLL!!1!1!1!1!1" to Momone Momo after she tried to ask out Defoko and then Kasane Teto screaming at max volume before being brutally bludgeoned and murdered by Namine Ritsu for triggering their misophonia by mistake

It's encourage me to be somewhat productive during vacations & breaks (especially summer break)

Have you started any other parts of Saltwater?

i have not! but… i’m hoping to come up with a solid plan for it soon. it’ll likely be a one-shot broken into different titled parts, or if you guys don’t mind very short chapters (because that’s the format i’m seeing it with), i could do it that way.

A Strange Epiphany

~Martha Ravenswood doesn’t have a portrait.  That’s right, isn’t it?  She has no portrait to speak of.  It’s almost as if she never existed...

~As if Henry never married. 

~The Phantom/Henry is almost ALWAYS behind her.  In their portrait.  In the ballroom.  He even seems to appear behind her briefly while she’s holding the candlestick in the hallway.  And also appear behind her in the mirror as she stares into her boudoir mirror. 

~Almost like he’s controlling her, possessing her. 

~Her insistence on trying to marry you at the end.

Look, maybe this is just me projecting because I REALLY do not like what they did to Melanie....But what if Melanie doesn’t exist anymore?

In the stretching room, she disappears from each portrait just as the men are about to meet their doom.  She never disappeared from the original portraits like that, in spite of the doomsday message behind it.  In fact, in the original portraits, she was alone in 3 out of 4 and about to meet her doom. 

Almost like there IS no Melanie.  Henry Ravenswood HAS no daughter. 

Melanie as a person does not exist. 

Like, the idea that she is LITERALLY not a person at all, but a glorified siren/puppet that he made to call out to people so he can lure them to his mansion to kill them.  

I doubt that’s where they’re going with this but.  Ugh. 

I STILL HATE IT THOUGH.  Because, I mean, JUST LOOK AT THIS.  They’ve made her seem so much like a passive object, that now I’m starting to become convinced that she isn’t even real.  That Henry just made her up with evil magic or something to kill people.  That’s what this has come to.
