season one of new girl is so underrated I absolutely love it
personally i think s7 of new girl should’ve been a full season and the show could’ve gone on for at least another two. fuck fox
got to lost and found (2x15) on my rewatch and it makes me sad seeing just how freaked rory was when she realized her bracelet was gone, only because she KNEW dean would react badly if she had, in fact, lost it. it’s actually concerning how terrified she is of doing anything that might make him mad, which only shows how (and i don’t use this term lightly) emotionally abusive he was.
another thing that annoys me to no end is lorelai’s reaction when she realizes jess had taken the bracelet, although she had no proof of that whatsoever. her saying that him taking it was “unbelievably cruel” is taking it WAY too far, like she often did when it came to jess. she always assumed his intentions were to hurt rory or get her into trouble, never, EVER giving him the benefit of the doubt. i also hate how she just went along with trying to prevent dean from finding out the bracelet was gone, nevermind how insane it is that rory is pretty much panicking at the mere thought of telling her boyfriend she lost something he gave her. people lose things, it HAPPENS. and like jess said, rory didn’t intend to lose it, and at the of the day, it IS just a bracelet. dean could’ve easily made her another one if he felt like rory had to wear a dog tag tied around her wrist to ward off any members of the opposite sex, but that wouldn’t be the case, would it?
anyway, i’m rambling, but i still think the way lorelai treated jess was often unfair and uncalled for, which is a pity, because in the couple minutes they both made an effort to be nice to each other, they actually got along quite easily. huh, imagine that. also, FUCK dean forester. that guy was in this episode for what, five minutes, and yet he still managed to piss me off enough that i felt like i had to write a long ass post about it. he has a gift, i’ll give him that.
