"O silêncio entre prédios"
Há fotografias que quase fazem barulho. Esta não. Tudo aqui está em suspensão — os fios soltos, os varandins, as janelas fechadas, o candeeiro inclinado. É como se o tempo tivesse abrandado, só por uns segundos, para a luz conseguir atravessar o fundo desta rua estreita.
Não há ninguém, mas não parece vazio. Parece só contido. Fechado. Como se a cidade estivesse a sussurrar em vez de falar.
É nesses momentos que vale a pena carregar no disparador. Não para guardar o que vi, mas para confirmar que senti mesmo isto.
"The silence between buildings"
Some photographs make noise. This one doesn’t. Everything here feels suspended — the loose wires, the balconies, the closed windows, the leaning lamp post. It’s as if time slowed down for a second, just so the light could make it through the end of this narrow street.
There’s no one there, but it doesn’t feel empty. Just held. Contained. As if the city decided to whisper instead of speak.
That’s the kind of moment worth pressing the shutter for. Not to keep what I saw — but to prove that I really felt it.
