I had forgotten how much I absolutely LOVE Isle of Skye: From Chieftain to King. Very similar to Carcassonne - but also not like Carcassonne very much. We have called it The Thinky Carcassonne. I was happy to see that Mombasa has been reimplemented as Skymines. The game play remains mostly the same with some variations (and a much improved theme) which I hope to explore soon! We played burncycle at game day and our first play was rooooughhhh lol Overall, we enjoyed the game and it had some fun mechanics.
