If I haven't already lost your attention if I may ask that before you formulate your opinions I'd just like to point out that I, too, can't help but have felt the eventual collective notion (or at least it personally felt pretty generally conceived & unanimous as time went on & in retrospect) from the community here on tumblr that, ever since they lost their popularity some years ago, it's proven evident that blogging networks are really nothing past innately useless popularity parties responsible for producing nothing more than a rather impertinent list of bloggers who have banded together in a collective decision that simply relying on the reward stemming from their individual effort & genuine integrity that's put into their blogs is simply not validation enough for their special snowflake of a blog- despite the largely apparent acceptability of lack of substance, integrity or effort displayed in the blogging content of said blogs apart of said networks. So it's not like it's exactly any wonder why they lost their popularity, demand, & activity in the community. & I'm in no way saying that my blog is an example of a blog that displays integrity or effort because I know I wouldn't be fooling anyone if I tried to say that!
I digress.. my point being that I don't think our goal upon revival of NBO is to bring back network fad nor do I plan on staying a member if I feel it's hopeless planning to do everything in my power to see through that the remaining members and I achieve more than past networks were able to. I'm hopeful we'll be able revive our network & it's fundamental productivity & move towards hopefully multiple creative projects & collaborative efforts that will be more overall rewarding than a bunch of bloggers seeking validation further than their perceived tumblr popularity or follower count. Rather I'd love to see a new method for expanding & further sharing the contributions of the creative people in this community beyond tumblr into whichever various different formats that may prove to be desired in the community such as collaborative 'zines', weekly/monthly member curations, & whatever the creative minds that are interested have to share (ideas welcome).
