I know I'm a little late, but happy holidays to everyone! I hope your days are filled with good food, better company, en perhaps even some snow (if you're on the Northern hemisphere) :)

I recently moved, and as always that involves endless packing, unpacking, finding a place for all your stuff and getting settled in again... which is why things have been so quiet around here. And now, of course, it's Christmas time. But a few days back I finally found the last missing piece for my new home: a little table I can use as my 'art work station', which means I can finally get back to drawing. These are the celebratory studies of Eurasian wigeons and American avocets I did on the day.

アメリカヒドリの♀とはほとんど見分けがつかないそうです(^^;;

アメリカヒドリとヒドリガモは交雑するそうです。

こちらがヒドリガモ。

日本で最もみられるカモの一種です。

顔が赤っぽいので緋鳥だそう。

アメリカヒドリと顔以外はそっくりです(=^_^=)
