Mattstasia Chapter 16: Paris Holds the Key to Your Heart
A couple hours later, Matthew was walking out of a shop in his new clothes; Slider, Jackie, Inez, and Digit followed him in new outfits before the light tan boy took his hand with a smile. Two humans were playing instruments and one of them happily cried out, “Lovers!” A human who was selling flowers at a cart, chuckled, “Ooh, la, la!”
Then, Creech made her way to the friends after buying a few flowers and gleefully began singing while handing the flowers out:
Welcome, my friends, to Paris
Here, have a flower on me!
Forget where you’re from
You’re in France!
Children, come
I’ll show you the French joi de'vivre!
Paris holds the key to your heart
And all of Paris plays a part!
Musicians: Just stroll two by two!
Florist: Down what we call “La Rue!”
All (except Matthew): And soon all Paris will be singing to you!

Everyone in Paris gave a big welcome to Creech, Scanner, Glowla, and the travelling friends. In another part of the city, the octet and Sherman met the princess of Pompadoria and the raven prince, who sang about Parisian love.

Raven prince: But not even Dr. Marbles knows the cure!
Up in the air, Ollie the Tour Guide was riding his biplane with dancers on the wings; in the streets, Mrs. Fileshare was taking a deedlebeast, Dewey, on a leash, while some backup singers followed her. A human did a Picasso-styled painting before he spun it around the scene cut away.
Ollie: There’s love in the air!
Mrs. Fileshare: At the Foilles-Bergere!
Artist: The French have it down – to an art!
All: Paris holds the key to your heart!
Ooh-la-la!
At the Moulin Rouge, Glowla along with Creech and Scanner led their friends inside to look around and watch a show later.
Glowla: When you’re feeling blue
Come to Le Moulin!
When your heart says, “Don’t!”
We French say, “Do!”
Inside the Moulin Rouge, some human girls were dressing up to do a special French dance.
Girls: When you think you can’t
You’ll find you can-can
Anyone can can-can!
Glowla: You can can-can, too!
On the stage, the five girls danced the iconic lively dance. Matthew was surprised when Digit and Glowla, Jackie and Scanner, and Inez and Creech began to dance with the music, and then pulled the boy up to join them, too! In no time at all, Matthew was having the time of his life.
Meanwhile, Slider stayed seated at his table with some juice while he contemplated about Matthew’s success for being passed off as the lost prince; he was both awed and worried.
Slider: Paris holds the key to his past
Yes, Prince, I found you at last
There’ll be no more pretend
You’ll be gone – it’s the end
Soon, the music was much livelier and more boisterous throughout the city of Paris. At the Eiffel Tower, Matthew was now wearing a navy blue suit with a white shirt underneath and a black tie.
All: Paris holds the key to your heart!
Fabio Dezine: You’ll be tres joilie and so smart!
Tappy: Come dance through the night!
Two Headed Sam: And forget all your woes!
All: The city of lights!
Ava: Where a rose is a rose!
Scanner: And one never knows

Fireworks then shot up in the air, creating a colorful end to the song!

Matthew and his friends go around Paris, surrounded by people from Earth and Cyberspace. Slider, meanwhile, has to deal with the feelings of parting with Matthew since he now knows this is the real Prince Matt.
If you guys are wondering what's with people from Cyberspace being in Paris, it's because since the Cyberspace Revolution happened, many leaders and authority figures of the cybersites in Cyberspace got exiled from Cyberspace. It's like how, in the Anastasia musical, there were Russian aristocrats exiled from Russia who now live in Paris.
