I find it so heartbreaking that in regards to OTMAA, we'll never actually see what they look like as they grow up. Unlike other royals, with paintings/photographs of them as they aged, we're never going to see the girls as old women, we're never going to see their engagement and wedding announcements/photographs. We'll never see Olga, Tatiana, Maria or Anastasia at their brother's coronation. We'll never see Alexei grow into his features, grow into a young man. We'll never see their children, their lives, all because they were murdered so young. They were murdered as young women, teenagers. Children. It breaks my heart.

For the first time, I am watching Anastastia. It was mostly motivated by the Gendrya fandom.

Another tiny Canon Descendants adjacent project while Part 2 of BATB is still underway. Made up/redesigned some daughters for some of my fav Non-Disney princesses.

Nicole is the daughter of Anya and Dimitri from Anastasia, named for her maternal grandfather

Maya is the daughter of Thumbelina and Cornelius, from Thumbelina, and is named after the name Thumbelina is given at the end of the original fairytale

And finally Alise comes from those incredibly sup-par sequels to The Swan Princess, who I’m only including because I liked the idea of Odette and Derek adopting a child, but that’s literally all I would keep of her og backstory, I’m on the fence about the 2D sequels as is, and the 3D ones don’t exist for me.

(Honestly I’d like to do some more world building for both Thumbelina and Swan Princess, based on my own ideas. Maybe one day)
