BOOBS ARE HARD
That feeling when you’re drawing female and/or male anatomy and someone sees and calls you a perv when you just trying to understand basic human structure because your fascinated by it ☹️
I love how u draw bodies!!! I struggle to draw them idk where to start after the head do u have any tips
Bodies are one of those things I feel like you have to accept sucking at drawing for a while.
Like, even a month ago, my anatomy was super stiff, and right now, I really can only do stand-ups with semi-accurate anatomy. The biggest tip is jumping into the deep end and just drawing them. As for how to draw them, the head is important and is what most everything you draw is compared to. I recommend gesture drawings for warming up and getting an idea of the flow of the body, but at the same time, you won't improve overnight. Ullaiin has some really good anatomy videos over on their YouTube channel, which I recommend, but find a technique for building the body that feels right to you and stick with it.
Personally, I like using a trapezoid-type shape for my upper body, and I find where the chest/breasts line up with that. I use a rectangle cylinder type thing for the torso and the underpants method for the pelvis. I also look at tons of bodies while I am drawing things.
Also, finding out certain connection points helps A LOT - like how the collarbone sort of flows into the shoulders and the traps sprout from behind that.
But again, you'll suck for a while before you get good (or maybe you're a natural talent and you'll just get it right away, who knows). I still suck in my personal opinion, that's really how art is, you see all the crap others don't.
Here is my main 8 body comparison since I never actually posted it.
I’ve been experimenting
Haveyhad a chance to draw in a while,
So I'm back to basics for a while, might do an artist study once I'm more confident in my line control.
