“Ana? I got your text, is everything alright?” Chester called out from the entrance as he arrived to his girlfriend’s house abruptly, his skin slightly pale as he wandered through the corridors, looking for a sign of his beloved one. Then he heard a loud and breathy cough coming from the girl’s bathroom, making the Canadian male shiver. Ana wasn’t the type to ask for help when she got sick, most of the time she went off with her day without even letting anyone know there was something wrong with her, hence his worry after getting her ‘How fast can you get here? I kinda need you’ text. 

The male stumbled across the corridor into the bathroom to find a visibly ill Ana kneeling on the toilet, breathing in and out heavily. He kneeled down close to her, nuzzling to her neck for a brief second, caressing her back tenderly “You’ve been here for a long time, baby?” he inquired, earning a nod from the girl as she turned around to face him, bloodshot eyes staring back at him, a notch forming on his stomach “You want to go back to bed?” his voice was soft and tender as he kissed her forehead lovingly. She whispered a soft yes, holding onto him to get up. Chester shook his head at her tenderly before carefully picking her up on his arms, making sure she wouldn’t get dizzy again “I’m gonna call your boss, we are staying here today. I’m gonna go make you some tea and look out for medicine” the boy mused, walking up to her room and placing her on bed carefully, kissing her cheek as he did so “Don’t move, watch Star Wars. I’ll be right back” he assured her as he exited her room and walked to the kitchen, placing in a tray whatever he thought they could need through the day as he acted as nurse for the one he loved.

The police officer sighed deeply as he turned around to face the girl laying in bed next to him, a small smile creeping on his lips “Ana, I can feel you rolling around in bed. What is it?” he arched an eyebrow, pulling the girl closer to himself protectively by the waste, blue orbs fixed in his. It had always fascinated him how despite how dark a room could get, he could still see her eyes so clearly and every shade of blue in them. He could feel her shrug, tense. The boy leaned in, resting his forehead on hers sweetly, his thumb grazing circles along the exposed skin of her back, snuggling her sleepily. If there was something he could take pride in, it definitely was knowing Ana unlike anyone else in his life. He understood her silence and looks most of the time, but sometimes it was almost impossible to read her. He could sense the distress on her body, but he couldn’t quite figure out why. “What’s wrong?” he asked again sweetly, running his free thumb up and down her cheekbones tenderly. 

The girl decidedly shrugged painfully, her eyes drifting from his to an specific place beneath him, making him turn around. “Oh” the Canadian Male breathed out at the sight of a family portrait laying on the drawer next to Ana’s bed, his heart aching for her. There was no doubt and no questions that her family’s situation wasn’t ideal and he knew deep down, she was still upset about it, even if they didn’t talk about it as much. It pained her to see the distress behind her eyes every time he would clumsily name Gabriel or her father to her, even if she tried hard enough to mask it with a blank face or a shrug. The boy leaned in and captured her lips on his for a brief second, breathing in her scent before pulling away, shooting her a devoted look “Do you want me to tell you a story? When I arrived to Darlington, mum used to tell me this story every time I had a nightmare or was too nervous to even go to bed” he explained in a whisper, his fingertips moving from her cheek to the back of her head, stroking her hair lovingly. 

Ana nodded, breathing in heavily and placing her head on his chest in silence as he began her fairy tale his mother invented fifteen years ago, his breathing getting calmer as hers did, holding her close to his heart as she drifted into a slumber.

❉: Our muses go into a haunted house together.

Chester shook his head repeatedly, crossing his arms on his chest like a little boy making a tantrum “No, I am not going in. It’s dark and they have diabolical clowns in there” he whispered at Ana who giggled his comment off, leaning in and whispering on his ear “Please? You promised we would do anything I wanted tonight. And right now I want to go to the haunted house. Come on, it’s the only one in Darlington and chances are it sucks” she plead, her blue doe eyes staring back into his caramel ones “This isn’t fair. I hate it when you do that. But fine. I will protect you if anything happens” he pouted before throwing his arms to the air in defeat “No you don’t” the female replied, taking his hand on hers and dragging him along inside of the small building. 

They were greeted by a bloody male, fake wounds all over his face as he gave them the instructions of not touching any of the performers if they didn’t wanted to be touched, the police officer anxiously jumping up and down whilst holding Ana from the shoulders “I don’t want to be here. They are going to touch me!” he accused as both began to walk through a dark alley, 

They went through a path of murderous criminals with chainsaws on their hands, ghosts and spooky creatures for 5 minutes, all noticing the male’s look of terror and using it on their advantage, walking close to him and whispering threats to him. Ana simply hold his hand whilst laughing hysterically at the small gasp coming from Chester’s mouth. 

Ten minutes later and after Chester publicly threatened to lock all of them in jail for invading his personal space by touching him, they exited the house, Ana still laughing whilst profanities were spelled by the police officer’s mouth “They fucking touched me!” he yelled, making Ana’s snort “Good think you were going to protect me, I am sure you almost fainted” she teased him, making him shove her softly “Shut up, I hate you” he mused, making the female smirk smugly “No, you don’t.”

☭: Our muses have a bonfire party.

“Why did you call me so late? Are you okay?” Ana inquired entering the door in Chester’s short apartment, making the police officer smile gleefully, her concern always melting his heart somehow “Hello beautiful, nice to see you too” he beamed, packing a bag of marshmallows on a bag before turning his attention to the girl “I am fine, but I have a surprise for you. Do you trust me?” he asked, arching an eyebrow whilst placing the bag on his shoulder, extending his hand for her to grab. 

Hesitantly, Ana grabbed his hand,  making the male chuckle “We are not off to elope or murder someone, it’s all legal, I promise. Come on” he winked at her, pulling her towards the door as both exited the small apartment. 

10 minutes worth of questions and hollow answers, Chester parked somewhere near the lake, in an specific area filled with trees and wilderness, running to open the door on Ana’s side of the car “So this is how it happens? You drive me to the woods to murder me? Not very original?” she mused, making the male chuckle “Not happening, these woods are not far from the city and people can hear you scream. I know it’s been harsh these couple weeks for you and the moon looks amazing, so I thought we could have a small bonfire party and look at the stars. I brought sausages and everything to make s’mores. I also brought two blankets and some fancy pansy soda. What do you say?” he chewed his lower lip anxiously as he awaited for her answer. Once she agreed, the Canadian male took her hand on his and kissed her forehead as both walked into the woods.
