The Purpose Just by attending Anba Dlo, you are helping to support economic revitalization of neglected downtown neighborhood and assist financially vulnerable resident with access to affordable, basic community staples such as groceries, holistic health care, educational opportunities, financial assistance information and counseling as well as access to other community – oriented programs and services. Anba Dlo (Pronounced “Ahnbah Dlo”) is Haitian Kreyol for “Beneath the Waters” and is meant to acknowledge and honor the importance of water to our life. L'EAU DE VIE ("THE WATER OF LIFE") Now in its 7th year, Anba Dlo VII (L'EAU DE VIE) in partnership with The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Foundation is unique as a one-of-a-kind, costumed, interactive community festival that celebrates the multicultural and artistic heritage of New Orleans. It is a wonderful kick-off event to the upcoming Halloween celebrations across New Orleans. Half of the proceeds will go to New Orleans Community Outreach, which gives low income residents free access to the Healing Center's resources. NOCO is currently serving survivors of human trafficking and homeless youth by providing them with mental health therapy, financial literacy counseling, health services, job training and more. It also provides services for the general public, including a recently launched family reading program. For more information contact: [email protected].
