cullen was surprised by the action of her hands pressing at him. the action ended up catching him so much off guard that he was able to be pressed back to the wall in the hallway. when her lips pressed against his he stiffened for a second out of instinct, before relaxing into her kiss. 

when they broke apart he smiled at her. “that...that was surprising.”

The half-elf had been drumming his fingers softly against the wood of the lute he held. He wasn’t playing a tune, he had played one earlier, but now he just seemed to be lost in thought. Distracted. “   I seem to attract the strange... I always have. Maybe ending up here was just one of those things. Not the first time I’ve been in another realm of reality.”

“Whatever you’ve heard about me can’t possibly be true.” Unless it was true, which was actually a rather high possibility. Word of the bard did get around... but he wasn’t certain a Dalish elf had heard anything about him. “I’m certainly no harm to you. And, while not a part of the Inquisition proper, I suppose you could consider me an.... extension.”
