Super exciting news here beer fans: As of yesterday (2/25/2020) @anchorbrewing has started to can their ICONICALLY delicious #anchorsteam brew 😍 This is actually their first 12 oz can release in the 123 years of operation (they dropped a 19 oz can in 2018) 🙌🏽 In case you didn’t know, Anchor Brewing is a pioneer in the craft beer world - being the first handcrafted beer to be revitalized after the end of prohibition. Thank the good lord for that appeal right?? 😅 If it wasn’t for that, we wouldn’t have this incredibly easy drinking beer in our midst today 😬 Smooth, light, and crisp, with mouth pleasing caramel notes, this hybrid ale is fermented with lager yeast, just at higher temps than normal 🔥 It’s hard not to find a bottle of this beer pretty much all over the country, and now you can find it in these beautiful cans as well! ❤️ If you want a brewery who has survived for over century churning out consistent beer while keeping one hand on deeply-rooted tradition and the other on creativity and innovation then look no further 👀 This is a go to for many beer lovers especially during the hotter times out here in California! Brew #319: Anchor Brewing Anchor Steam Beer

Abv: 4.8%

Served: From the fridge

Aroma: Honey, malt, caramel

Pour: Clear dark amber with offwhite frothy head

Taste: Tangy malt wash with soft toffee and pine undercurrents. Some grass and hoppy cedar wood with light oily mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finishes on a light bite. Aftertaste is slightly metallic bitter and caramel background. Bloody lovely malt forward beer.
