This is usually not something I'd post on, except the finding is so fascinating. Ötzi's paternal lineage has a high percentage of Anatolian farmer, but no trace of his maternal lineage can be found. WHA??? Probably a simple reason for this, but it is tantalising.

This is awfully sad, what with infant burials and all, but it’s also a very interesting burial, given the amount we can learn about upper paleolithic society from it.

Bones and artefacts suggest that kids laboured at skilled tasks thousands of years ago.

So the exploitation of children has been going on since forever ago. Sad commentary on humanity, but very interesting to see how the bones told them what the children might have done.
