I sadly can’t switch anymore! My English is completely Nothern American influenced now, thanks to my wife, who is appropriately horrified. My American Studies professors convinced me I’d gotten to the point where my Dutch accent was near undetectable, but then I met some of my favorite members of the supercorp creators guild on voice chat and was quickly stripped of that idea. A true confidence boost! 😏

I still entertain myself briefly trying out interesting ways to pronounce words (listening to Katie’s audio book was a hoot), but I always revert back to whatever standard American is supposed to be, I guess, with a touch of ‘do you have a speech impediment’ and/or ‘where the fuck are you from’.
