violet : how does your muse respond to betrayal ?
Depends on the betrayal, to be honest. Betrayal to a cause doesn't phase him as it might other mechanisms. He can understand shifting your allegiance based on what you believe or what you find out. Hell, it's something he's done before. So, if you shift from Autobot to Decepticon, he might be disappointed- but he'll understand.
Personal betrayals, though?
Sometimes, it might break his spark- sending him spiraling into self-destructive tendencies for a while because he'll blame himself for not seeing all the signs there, even if there weren't any to begin with. It'll shift from that, to apathy- to the feeling of nothing he's ever done has been for anything, and for a while- that'll be the most of it.
However, eventually- it turns to something else, something darker. Jazz seems the sort to be easy to forgive and forget- and he is, in some respects. He can understand why a mechanism works and how he works, and if it doesn't directly affect him in some ways- he can let bygones be bygones.
But, some he can't.
And those are the ones that he meticulously plans for. The ones that he puts in the back of his processor and lets his own chaotic tactical programs plot out conditions and variables. The ones where the plan comes to fruition vorns to eons after the incident has occurred.
Where he's in every shadow they look towards, visor reflecting coldly at them. Where he appears in the corners of their optics- but gone when they turn. Where they wake up to him seated on the corner of their berth, and jerk with shaking servos to find nothing there.
And where they do not wake up at all, the gleaming, humming edge of a vibrodagger's point bloodied with innermost energon.
