a fringe benefit of hanging out with my nephew is getting to hang out with other random little kids

like at his birthday party a little girl fell down and started to cry and I got down next to her to check for blood and comfort her and said "do you want me to go get your daddy?" (because her dad had brought her to the party)

and she said through her tears "yeah but who I really want to see is my grandma, but she lives in Florida. in a condo 😭"
