Let's talk more about gooey, obsessed boyfriend Droidbait.
He's the first person to admit he's a little obsessed with his partner. When he wakes up in the morning, the first thought that crosses his mind is hoping they slept well. And the last thought in his head, before he falls asleep, is hoping that they remembered to eat dinner.
Even when he's deployed, he's doing things to try and feel closer to them. He has a personal bottle of shampoo and body wash that is the exact same brand and scent as they use, so he can smell like them throughout the day.
When he's far from home, on some shitty planet far from the core, he'll see something pretty or interesting, and his first thought is to snap a picture and send it to his partner. "Saw this neat-looking frog! It's the same color as your eyes!"
DB brings home little trinkets that remind him of his partner, rocks, shells, and that kind of stuff. Once, he brought them a little vial of black sand because he thought it was neat looking and knew that they'd feel the same.
When he is with them, though, he's attached to their side like a leech. Arms draped around their waist, around their shoulders, his hand twined with theirs. It almost seems like he needs to be touching them or he'll die.
He walks them to work in the morning, his hand twined with theirs and chatting a mile a minute about everything under the sun. And then he goes back to their house and makes sure that it's neat and clean, before going and taking them for lunch, and then walking them home at the end of the day.
DB had the engagement ring picked out, and bought, within three months of meeting them.
