it's great to hear their take on various points in their career - Marjo says she went into junior worlds in 2019 100% sure they were going to win even though they'd come 4th at JGPF

and Bohemian Rhapsody, their first senior FD - it's hard to believe now, but around that time, people used to say Zak needed to perform and emote more on the ice - so him saying that at Nationals that year, "i was just going all in - it was a great feeling" - is interesting to hear, because he's totally changed that narrative about himself - he's known for giving 110% in performance. says "it wasn't a bad season, but I think it's one of our less successful programs [Marjo looks at him and shakes her head] not in term of results [he looks at her] not in term of results at all [she nods] but in terms of just how we felt and how we looked ourselves in the video." they do a lot of talking through exchanging looks lol

love the insight they give into Rio - that it helped them stand out and gain notice, but was difficult to get the scores because it was so fast throughout that it was hard to get a running edge. not impossible, but harder for showing skating skills. but one of the programs that helped them improve the most. she says it was like a marathon

"the dream came true this season" because they went to the Olympics with it - and here we are again in another Olympic season

and then Thriller - admits the first music cut "wasn't very good." but became a really exciting program - she says Montreal Worlds "i will remember forever especially because maybe we were not supposed to do it since I had my concussion so yeah that was my favorite favorite competition ever" 😭

the part at the end is ❤️ where he says "i learned that when there's trouble, she can come back and stay strong" - he says some skaters worry about whether their partner might mess up, but "Marj is like [shrugs] - i know she's going to do good, like no problem" and Marjorie beams ☺️

Puzzleshipping Utena AU

This is just some random thoughts.

Suddenly I just had this thought after watching the remastered Utena Opening... (YOU CAN WATCH THAT REMASTERED OPENING HERE!!! It’s so beautiful OMG, just... HD VERSION OF THAT OPENING!!! 2020 IS SUDDENLY OKAY)

It’s not purely Utena AU but I just think about Yugi as Utena and Atem as Anthy...

Not purely following Utena story, I’m just thinking of taking some of its aesthetic. the story’s still YGO, only the duels become real duels with swords and such, but you can also summon monsters still?

Atem is still spirit of fallen Pharaoh but he has this power to grant wishes? or something. And everyone wants the Puzzle for this power, so Yugi has to protect the Puzzle (and Atem) and just... duels happened.

But also, Yugi takes out his sword from Atem’s chest just like Utena would HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
