@cuppajj hi i did more
@yeshens + starter call ( accepting ! ): “ didn’t i tell you i can find you anywhere? ” hey! khalimin(:
he straightened at min’s voice, somewhere between curious and caught. the arrow he previosly retrieved from a tree’s trunk glistened still, having grazed the shoulder of a now fled thief. “ and i never doubted as much, for better or worse. ” to some, it would sound like trust, and it wouldn’t exactly be far from the truth, distorted as it was. khalid trusted those abilities of his, and, in equal measure, min’s capability of misusing them.
turning around, he forewent tucking the arrow in his quiver, gently twirling it in his fingers instead. “ but, your timing is a little too opportune this time around. or unfortunate, depending on what you’re here for. or for who, seeing there’s not much worth in a monastery that has been looted over the years. ” khalid knew, better than anyone, the prices people were willing to pay for his head, and the kinds of people that trailed after that offer. he also liked to regard min as smarter than that, though certainly not necessarily above it. “ glad as i am to see you’ve fared well despite the war, this isn’t the best place for talking, and i’d rather not overdo it with the pleasantries if you’re hired. if you aren’t, however . . . ” one thing remained the same: khalid’s candor was never without some bite, friend or foe. “ then, i’d be more than glad to have you join our reunion feast. ”
